Best AI study app for Nigerian students in 2026 (JAMB, WAEC, university, medicine)
Which study app works on Nigerian data, takes naira and actually helps you pass? We compared QuizGenius, NotebookLM, Anki, Quizlet, ChatGPT and more.
Our pick: QuizGenius
A study app for Nigerian students has to do four things: make practice from your own material, bring it back before you forget, work on weak mobile data, and take naira. QuizGenius is the only app on this list that does all four, and it adds things no other app here has together: notes saved as audio, a study-hours graph, a syllabus tracker and live quiz competitions.

What makes QuizGenius different
- Upload anything: PDF, Word, PowerPoint, a photo of your notes or a worksheet, or a YouTube lecture.
- Practice in exam formats: multiple-choice, true/false and short answer, with explanations.
- Flashcards that come back on the right day, synced across phone and laptop.
- Listen to your notes: save any note as an MP3 in a natural voice. It reads study shorthand properly — "β-blockers ↓ HR" comes out as "beta-blockers decreased HR".
- Run your term: a Pulse timer with your hours by month, and a syllabus tracker from To do to Confident.
- Compete: live quiz events with leaderboards.
- Pay your way: Paystack, bank transfer or USSD; plans by the week, month, three months or year.
By exam
- JAMB UTME: put the brochure syllabus in the tracker, generate questions from each textbook chapter, review flashcards daily. See our JAMB guide.
- WAEC / NECO: the same routine; use the timer to build a daily habit months ahead.
- University: upload each lecture's slides the day it is taught, mark the topic Taught, and let the daily plan tell you what to read.
- Medical school: a deck per posting, due cards every morning, notes as audio for ward rounds. See our medical school guide.
The others, in one line each
- NotebookLM: good for reading sources; no study tracker, no offline use.
- Anki: powerful, but you type every card.
- Quizlet: sets made for other people's courses, billed in dollars.
- ChatGPT: a good explainer that forgets everything when you close it.
