QuizGenius vs ChatGPT for studying: why a study app beats a chatbot
ChatGPT answers a question and forgets. QuizGenius remembers what you are about to forget, quizzes you on your own notes, turns them into audio, and tracks your whole term.
The short answer
A chat is gone when you close it. QuizGenius keeps everything that makes you pass: your quizzes, your flashcards on a review schedule, your notes as audio, your hours and your syllabus. And it has an AI tutor built in.
What you get that a chatbot can't give you
- A memory schedule. Every flashcard comes back just before you forget it — tomorrow, in 3 days, in 3 weeks — synced across devices.
- Saved practice. Quizzes from your notes that you can retake, with results that show what to revise.
- Your notes as audio. Save any note as an MP3 and revise offline.
- A record of your term. Hours studied by month, and every syllabus topic from To do to Confident.
- A tutor that knows your notes. Tutor, Quiz me, Explainer or Direct mode, inside the note you are reading.

Frequently asked questions
Is QuizGenius better than ChatGPT for studying?
For exam preparation, yes. QuizGenius has an AI tutor too, with Tutor, Quiz me and Explainer modes, and it adds what a chat can't keep: quizzes you can retake, flashcards scheduled with spaced repetition, notes saved as audio, and your study hours and syllabus tracked over the term.
Does QuizGenius have something like ChatGPT Study Mode?
Yes. The QuizGenius assistant's Tutor mode guides you to the answer with questions instead of giving it away, and Quiz me tests you on what you are studying. Learn Mode builds a lesson plan on any topic, even without a document.
